According to a 2012 study, we spend over $600 billion a year on pain. A large portion of that money is spent on back pain. Studies have shown chiropractic care to be effective on back pain, and patients spend less than medical patients for the treatments.
A recent Canadian study comparing medical doctors, physical therapists, and chiropractors found that the patients seeing chiropractors spent the shortest time receiving compensation for their pain.
